I can't believe you sent that picture when I was little!! I was dressed up!! I had my hair in ringlets not braids. Those were made with rags and hair wrapped around them. I even had anklets on. In those days they never stayed up. We were very poor. I remember having that picture. It was not on my birthday since there is snow. It is probably spring. The 8th grade picture was taken after graduation, when my Aunt thought I could have my hair just trimmed so it would grow better.. Well, that was the end of the long hair for awhile. When I went home, Daddy did not know me and kept looking for me to get off the train. I think Granadpa paid for that train ride home. Thanks , Elaine for remembering my birthday. What a surprise. Yes, all those years and all the changes that have occured in that span. I could write a book.
