Halloween

Trent was a convict..complete with bushy eyebrows and chest hair....
Byron went as Spiderman....


And Jared as an evil clown. The eyes were battery operated and would blink red in several second intervals. They had a ton of fun.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bakers

Trent has recently taken over the chocolate chip cookie baking....He just made his first batch all by himself...yummy.
And the best part of all...the dough....{ok, ok, I know, bad mom, letting my kids eat dough}..I eat it too :}

The Pumpkin Patch

Byron's class had a field trip on Friday to the Pumpkin Patch! I got to chaperone, so it was lots of fun! Hay rides, petting zoo, bus ride (ok, so that part is not so fun for the nearing 40 crowd)...and the weather was perfect!

Byron's Penguin Shirt

Byron's kindergarten teacher has the kids paint their class mascot on a T-shirt every year! First they draw on the shirt w/ pencil, then it is outlined, finally they paint w/ little sponges. She then outlines them w/ puff paint. It is quite a process! All the other classes just get their class shirts printed, so these are extra special! I've kept the 2 other boys' shirts as well. This year, the kindergarten class is the penguin class...(just thought I'd clarify in case the penguin didn't just jump off the shirt at you!)

A visit from Grandpa and Grandma

Grandpa and Grandma came to visit! This has been some time ago, now, but I just haven't felt like posting on my blog! So time to catch up! We really enjoyed their stay. As always it goes too fast. For the most part, we had good weather, which was grand. This night, Donna, suggested we roast hot dogs over the fire, so we did, and then followed up w/ smores...was such a fun relaxing evening! We really do enjoy having the fire pit! We just now got some lights on the waterfall, too, so that makes it esp. enjoyable in the evening after dark to sit out there with the fire on!



Byron got his spiderman costume that week. He is wearing it everywhere. Hopefully it will last till Halloween! ha! it was so cute to look over and see Grandma playing against a fully masked spiderman!

Kendra's birthday

Well, we've celebrated our last birthday together! Lauren and Sandy are moving far away in December, and Kendra's birthday is the last one of the year to celebrate....so we were all commenting last night that this would be the last time! And to think at Byron's party, we were still commenting that we miss Roy and Wendy at our birthday parties!
