Shop till you Drop

Mom and I shopped, shopped, shopped, and shopped. I lost count of how many times we shopped at Kohl's! One day, Mom spent a whopping 4 1/2 hours in there! Ok, ok, so it wasn't all her fault. I had to take Chloe to the vet, so dropped her off. When I came back for her, she wasn't done, and I saw some things I'd like to look at, so I left to go pick-up Byron from Kindergarten, then dropped him and Dad off at home...and then went back to Kohl's...upon which we both spent quite a bit more time! Here is evidence.....see all the receipts?!

And here is how well I held up after all that shopping! (I get released from the asylum next week.)

Family Times

Byron has taken to doing the word search in the newspaper. It was so precious to look over there one day and seeing Grandpa and Byron hard at it.
Grandpa and Grandma bought new pj's for the boys! Always fun to get new jammies!
And snuggling with Chloe....(if your couch cushions stay in the couch, you have NO idea what fun your kids are missing out on!)

Crazy Hair Day at school

This week there was a Crazy Hair day at school. The boys have thought up some pretty wacky hairdos in the past! This year they were pretty tame! Trent wanted his slicked back for a Draco Malfoy look , and Jared just wanted his gelled in every which direction. Byron wasn't brave enough to try anything new. My favorite crazy hair day was one year, when Trent wanted his hair cut into a Mohawk. Jared did NOT. I cut Trent's hair after Jared was in bed (after weeks of growing it out for this special occasion!). Then next morning, Jared saw Trent's hair and immediately decided it was so cool. Like I had time to really cut another boy's hair before school. But that's another issue. So, as fast as I could, I got Jared's hair cut and all done for his Mohawk (this all being before the 7:30 departure time). As soon as I got it styled, Jared said, "I don't feel well" and promptly puked. Yep..he had stomach flu. And I can' t begin to tell you how funny it was to go in and help him as he lay in the bed, sick as a dog, with a Mohawk!

Making lefse

We had lots of fun making lefse when Dad and Mom were here! Of course all the boys like to roll them out, too! Someday they will be my sidekick helping me out! (Robert also is a big help. He rolls, cooks....whatever!) But the eating of course is the best part! They don't last too long at this house!

Close-Ups

Dad and Mom came for a couple of weeks! I thought this one was so cute of Grandpa and Trent!

And Grandma and Jared.

Mighty nice, Trent!

Ah, that's better!

Deep in thought.

My dad's hard working hands. Don't they look youthful for 75?

This one speaks for itself!

Valentine's Day

Dad and Mom were here over Valentine's Day. The boys only request was one of those big Hershey's kisses!

I tried a new chocolate cake recipe I found. Dad and Mom brought home flowers! They lasted a long time! They were so pretty!
They said this rose was from Chloe! :)

A little note.....

One day I wrote little "love notes" for all 3 boys to find sometime in their day. I wrote them diagonally on each piece of paper. Later, I found this piece of paper carefully cut into a diamond....written by Byron....can't believe all they are learning in Kindergarten! It is so fun when they can write notes! He's been writing them to me now for about a year. I have a stack of notes from all 3 boys....I will keep them always! (And many of you know, I'm NOT a keeper!)

Chloe loves her blankets

Chloe has always loved her blankets...or any blanket for that matter! At night we take her "bedroom" off the tile so she doesn't get cold, and cover it w/ our throw. The next day I still hadn't put stuff back, when I found her lying on TOP of her crate....it was so cute. (Ok, ok, you have to be a dog lover, or even a Chloe lover, to think it was so cute!)

Ten-Fourteen fevers and company is my excuse. What's yours?

Hi! I don't know if there will be anybody out there still reading this since it's been so long since I've posted! A month! Yikes! It has been quite a month! We've had sick germs in our house for a month now....influenza (it was bad.....took me about 2 weeks to get completely over it)....colds, chicken pox (2 kids....very mild.....going around school....all the immunized kids are getting extremely mild cases so well worth the shot!), fevers (Byron was sick 2 separate times this month. He likes to check his temperature and give me progress reports. It was staying around ten-fourteen most of the time. Get it? 101.4. I thought that was cute.) Now we've got colds again. Mom and Dad came 2 weeks ago, so we've been busy busy busy in between sicknesses! We've made lefse, shopped, wiped noses, shopped, visited, shopped, eaten lefse, shopped. Well, you get the picture. They are leaving Monday or Tuesday depending on weather. I am not going to post any pictures tonight, but did want to let my readers (if there are any left!) that we are still alive and planning to continue this blog! :) :) Have a good Sunday tomorrow! (The spell check did not like the word lefse!)
