1880's

Jared had a field trip to a living history museum. They had to research a person from the history of our town, and "be" that person. Then they had to dress authentically, and bring their authentic 1880's lunch. At the museum, they did crafts, baked baking powder biscuits, did laundry, made a wood box, made lemonade, etc. He had a ball!


Since Jared's field trip was a different time than normal school hours, he had to come into Byron's classroom with me for an hour that morning. I thought it was so cute seeing them reading in book baskets together.
